AuroraUX
developers one of the most interestingly promising AuroraUX distribution changes from kernel to kernel OpenSolarisowego DragonFly - new system formed as a fork one of the branches of FreeBSD.
developers explain the transfer to the new kernel a few reasons:
- Sun Acquisition by Oracle along with the confusing situation occasioned by the further development of Solaris,
- Little opportunity to work with the supplier kernel;
- Much of the code is still Solaris remains closed;
- Environment to compile all the code was created for internal use by Sun, and modified this system to add support for programs written in Ada and its possible conversion into other solution would cost too much time, who prefer to better use.
- License Issues
Benefits of DragonFly BSD:
- Collaborate with developers dflybsd is more open, which can benefit both sides;
- In our opinion, is a worthy successor HAMMER ZFS;
- DragonFly BSD kernel is possible to compilation in its entirety by clang.
It is also worth briefly describe what the Aux:
This attempt to create a distribution in which the main tools will be written in Ada in order to ensure reliability in critical applications, portability and clarity of the code.
What's interesting is falconpl scripting language and the entire system compiled by Clang.
